About

Our History

MSA was founded in 2010 as an answer to the market’s demand for a competent construction site management organization to be utilized at the growing number of wind turbine development projects. We are built on our initial staff’s vast experience in necessary processes, regulations in the field, and being part of many challenging consignments within the industry.

Jacob Svendsen

Site Manager

– When I’m out on a site for about 14 days, it is always a very intense process with many people who need to perform each their task. That part is really exciting: To be allowed to go totally in-depth into a project for a while, get close to people and the task and to see the project develop together. There is tremendous satisfaction in seeing a wind farm spring up on time.

– The crucial aspect is to be able to manage the resources, so they are used optimally – both manpower and cranes – and also keep control of the process so we keep to the time schedule and the budget. This requires plenty of planning and overview and, not least, requires a good collaboration with all players on site.

– I was looking for a job where I would be allowed to travel a little and use my education as an engineer and after about 18 months as a Junior Site Manager, where I had a more experienced person to rely on, I now have that responsibility. It suits me really well. Not only is there good unity and a good tone in the company, there is also plenty of freedom with responsibility. MSA Wind is based on trust and taking responsibility – and if you need help, it is no further away than a telephone call.

– I have almost ten years’ experience with wind turbines and I benefit from this every single day on site. One thing is to know the technology behind the turbines, but I have also developed a large network in the industry if there is a need for extra input.

– We make loads of decisions every day which affect many people and large projects. Therefore, we must be able to collaborate, coordinate and organise and constantly keep in mind an optimal execution of the entire installation. We are often included in the decision-making process long before the project begins, and this is a great advantage because we have the necessary experience in order to prepare the entire task optimally – also when it comes to special tasks. There is no reason to waste time beforehand.

– It is very inspiring to motivate so many to carry out a shared task and also have good colleagues in your back pocket who can contribute if you’re in a pinch. The job is independent and free, but I am never alone because it is never a one-man job to make a site a success.
